Dogs have a reputation for defending their owners when danger knocks, and this video seems to prove it.

Justin Ireland, a petrol station worker in Saco, Maine, was sitting in an office when a masked man arrived to rob the store. 

As the CCTV shows, them man approaches Ireland, causing him to drop his dog's lead. Thor, a pitbull-boxer mix then sprung into action, biting the man several times on the face and hand, causing him to flee the scene.

Imagine if it were a cat.
