Team Ireland’s head boxing coach says he couldn’t believe the reception for Katie Taylor at the ExCel arena in London yesterday.

Irish fans even raised the roof with a cheer that set a record for the London games, at 114 decibels, when Katie was declared the winner of the fight.

Tomorrow she’ll take on Mavzuna Chorieva from Tajikistan, whom she’s already fought and beaten.
