Madonna has released six of the songs from her upcoming album Rebel Heart, announcing it as an 'early Christmas gift' for her fans.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the release comes following the leaks of ten demos from the then unannounced album.

In a statement, the veteran pop star wrote "I was hoping to release my new single Living For Love on Valentine's Day with the rest of the album coming in the Spring. I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift".

The songs released include the colourfully titled Bitch I'm Madonna and Illuminati. The full album is due for release in March.

Earlier in the week, Madonna said the leaks were "unfinished demos stolen long ago".
