Four years ago, Jim MacAulay decided that he would marry his long-time girlfriend Sophie.

But instead of popping the question immediately, Jim plotted one of the most impressive proposals you're ever likely to see.

Using his connections (or perhaps by approaching them after shows), he managed to meet a whole host of celebrities and ask them for help in proposing to Sophie.

Ed Sheeran, Nile Rodgers and Bob Geldof all appear, asking Sophie to say yes. 

The big moment arrived at a friend's Chistmas party, and the video was shown.

Thankfully, after all Jim's efforts, she was delighted to accept his proposal, and the pair plan to marry next year.
