A Peruvian bull fight got out of hand on Sunday when an apparently drunk ring assistant accidentally unleashed a bull on the crowd. 

10 people were injured as the bull rampaged through the crowds, with some onlookers still trying to act as matadors. One man is seen being dragged away after the animal mauled him.

The ring assistant responsible even received a mock flogging for his negligence.

The bull fight marked the end of the Senor Espiritu Santo festival in Ayacucho, where locals take turns facing down a bull to prove their bravery.
