For many, a radio-controlled car is little more than a childhood memory or a character from Toy Story. Thanks to battery issues and constant crashes of many mass market remote-controlled cars, many RC models probably only offered their owners a few afternoons' entertainment.
Some people take RC racing seriously, though, and after seeing one of the races you might well be tempted to join in the fun - although your old toys probably won't make the cut.
The video below shows footage from Hillside Raceway in Raymond New Hampshire. The cars move at a serious speed, and there are plenty of impressive drifts, jumps and crashes in the short video. It features both 'in car' camera angles and some spectacular aerial footage.
