A skateboarder was lucky to be alive after crashing into a deer during a downhill race.
He was travelling at 65 km/h at the Buffalo Bill Downhill race in Colorado when the deer sprang into his path and took both of them off-road.
According to online posts the skateboarder, Ryan Vitale from Salt Lake City, was not badly injured in the horrifying crash.
In another twist, the helicopter which was filming the race crashed into the mountainside.
Fortunately no one was killed in that incident.
