If the prolonged chill of the past week has left you feeling the cold, spare a thought for these keen anglers, whose commitment to taking part in the world's largest ice-fishing competition must had resulted in some chapped lips.
The photo above comes from this year's annual contest on Minnesota's Gull Lake, which is the largest competitive angling festival of its kind in the world.
More than 30,000 holes were drilled into the ice, and countless fish were hauled out of the freezing water as well. A drone captured some of the contestants in action, and the footage is incredible stuff:
