Firefighters were called to a two-year-old boy's aid after he climbed into a washing machine in order to retrieve a toy.

The incident happened at the family home in Nanjing, China.

The boy escaped unharmed after rescuers dismantled to the machine using hydraulic pliers and a hack-saw in a thirty minute operation.
