Hundreds gathered earlier for the funeral of murdered Vinnie Ryan. Mr Ryan was shot dead in Finglas last week, in the latest gangland murder in the capital.
A heavy and armed garda presence surrounded the Church of the Holy Trinity this morning.
The coffin of Mr Ryan, described by his family as a staunch republican, arrived draped in a Tricolour.

A procession of around 100 people brought Mr Ryan's coffin to the church, led by a lone bagpiper.
As the coffin neared the church a number of motorcycles flanked it, revving their engines as it approached.
There was no repeat of the paramilitary-style scenes witnessed at the funeral of his brother and Real IRA member Alan Ryan - with mourners led by around 30 men in white shirts and black ties.
Before the coffin was Mr Ryan's partner Kelly, pushing his six-week-old baby Phoenix in a pram.

In his homily, Fr Gerry Corcoran spoke of Mr Ryan's excitement at the birth of his daughter.
Fr Corcoran described him as witty, intelligent and someone who loved to play pranks.
He said Vinnie was a man who did not smoke, drink or do drugs, was witty and intelligent and valued friendship dearly.
He said his murder was a horrific nightmare for the family, and said it was a reminder that we should never take life for granted.
Mr Ryan's family have appealed for no retaliation for his killing. He will be buried in Fingal Cemetery.
