A Tipperary student’s idea for a “psychological gameshow” could be heading to television after studio giants Warner Brothers picked it up.

Sean O’Riordan created Newton’s Law as a project while studying at the National Film and Television School in Britain.

O’Riordan described the show as a mixture of Derren Brown and The Crystal Maze where couples are pitted against each other and their biggest fears.

O’Riordan also won a 5,000 US dollar (£3,179) cash prize after submitting his pilot for the show to the New York TV Festival where it was picked up by Warner Brothers, page 6 of the Irish Independent tells us.
