A man in Houston, US woke up after a night of heavy drinking to what is probably one of the shortest and most pointless taxi rides ever.

The man posted a photograph of his receipt on reddit of his journey, which lasted only a matter of minutes.

The man was drinking in his local bar when he decided to 'uber' a taxi, the American equivalent to Hailo, in order to get to his next location. Unknowingly to his intoxicated self the journey was a mere 30 metres away.

The taxi driver shamefully took advantage and drove the intoxicated man around the block once before dropping him at the next bar.

The journey would have only taken him 21 seconds to walk, but instead cost the man $4 (€3).
