Kevin Caffrey took to the streets of Dublin on Friday as he went about capturing the excitement and colour of the centenary celebrations. 

On his YouTube page, Caffrey outlines that he went through a huge number of different areas in the city as he undertook the 41.5km journey, starting in Mount Merrion and passing Churchtown, Bluebell, Inchicore, Hybreasal, Islandbridge, the Phoenix Park, Castleknock, Ringsend and Booterstown, amongst others.

The resulting footage, which was shot with a GoPro, highlights all the different parts of the city as well as a look at the start of the celebrations to mark the centenary of the 1916 Rising.
