An Australian newsreader has come under fire after a behind-the-scenes video of her demanding a colleague change her clothes before their broadcast together has been shared widely across the Internet.
Amber Sherlock, a presenter on Channel Nine News, was waiting to go live on air when she notices that all three women on the panel are wearing white. Sherlock then demands her colleague Julie Snook change her attire or put a jacket on to cover her blouse, saying she told her “two hours ago” to do so.
Snooker later appears in a black jacket and the three women warmly start the segment as the broadcast goes live.
Reacting to the criticism, Sherlock said: “Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends.”
