A baby sloth in a zoo in London is getting looked after by a surprising type of surrogate mother, a stuffed animal.
The baby sloth, whose name is Edward Yawning, ran into difficulties when his mother stopped producing milk, so Kelly-Anne Kelleher, one of the keepers at ZSL Zoo in London decided to replace her with a stuffed toy from the gift shop.
The plan behind it, as Kelleher told the BBC, is that the baby can "use all the muscles that he'd be using if he was on his mother He is able to climb all the way around the teddy and make himself comfy however he wants to be".
Once Edward gets his strength and his weight up, using the stuffed toy as his mother, he can join back up with the rest of his family at the zoo.
