A drone flying through the air is still a relatively rare sight or novelty for most people - so you can only imagine how odd it must look to chimpanzees.

At Royal Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands, there was some scheduled drone filming for an upcoming TV show. When the operator flew the craft through the chimpanzee area of the zoo, one of the 'residents' seemed to become particularly fascinated / annoyed by the flying 'intruder'.

Yes, the chimp used a stick to expertly knock the drone right out of the air. While the drone was completely destroyed as a result of the crash, the GoPro attached to it kept rolling and ended up capturing some impressive footage of the curious chimps approaching for a closer look...
