With GoPros and other portable cameras now worn by those taking part in any number of extreme activities, it's inevitable that occasionally the little cameras take a bit of a battering or worse. A video uploaded by a Swedish YouTube user, however, has shown one camera that went for a serious spin from 3,000 metres - and survived the ordeal.

Kristoffer Örstadius uploaded the video, saying his father found the card and its memory card intact in a field. He wanted to find the skydiver who seemingly lost the camera during a dive.

Swedish media reports that after the video racked up tens of thousands of views, the skydiver in question came forward and was able to reclaim his property - as well as ending up with a pretty impressive video of the camera's rapid descent.
