He can't have been the only ageing Irishman to engage in some embarassing air guitar, but Taoiseach Enda Kenny's efforts to get in on the act at Bruce Springsteen's concert in Croke Park did not go unnoticed.
The Boss played the first of his two sold-out gigs with a stomping show of around three and a half hours last night in Drumcondra.
Although most said it was an excellent show, some fans in the stands said it was the worst sound quality they'd ever heard.
They also might have glimpsed a prime minister taking a break from tackling the homelessness, health and Garda crises by playing along to his contemporary (Bruce is 66; Enda 65).

A few fans, meanwhile, have taken to Twitter to ask Aiken Promotions to note the huge sound problems many experienced in the stands of Croke Park last night.
Please sort the sound problems out before Sunday! @springsteen @aikenpromotions @CrokePark #TheRiverTourDublin

Sad to see so many nights apparently ruined by sound in Croke Park for @springsteen, took till 3rd @u2 gig in '05 for them to master it.

Did not expect to leave @springsteen early. Sound muffled and awful at premium level. Very disappointing @CrokePark

Great night at Springsteen so far, but the sound is pretty abysmal at times. No idea what's going on with it. #SpringsteenDublin
