Based on the true story of the 2010 BP oil-spill, we've just been given our first look at oil-rig disaster flick Deepwater Horizon.

Telling what happened in the 48 hours leading up the massive explosion that resulted in 11 people killed and 16 more injured when the rig blew, as well as the infamously huge oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico, the film stars Mark Wahlberg, Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich and Dylan O'Briend.

Directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor) and written by Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z), the movie is set for a release in Irish cinemas from September 30th.
