Part of the Red Ball Project art installation came loose from its usual stationary spot this week and made a break for it.
The 15 foot, 250 pound ball has toured around a number of cities, but came loose from its display on Madison Avenue, Toldeo earlier this week.
Toledo Museum of Art spokesman Kelly Garrow said that high winds and rain had caused it to come loose.
Garrow stated that the ball itself sustained a bit of damage and had to be patched in several places, but that a street sign had also been bent by the rogue ball.

The project is by artist Kurt Perschke, and is supposed to highlight parts of the city that are often ignored and overlooked by citizens.
