The bright light of neon signs has captured our hearts and minds for over a century.
The display was developed in 1898, and still requires much of the same meticulous handcraft as it did over one hundred years ago.
This short documentary reveals how neon workers go about the process of blowing and molding, and was made by the famous documentary filmmaker Stefan Sagmeister. It's a gorgeous look at the craft, and it's incredibly satisfying to see the final sign begin to shine as it all clicks into place.
