Four french hikers can count themselves very lucky after the footbridge they were using to cross over a lake collapsed while they were walking across it. 

The hikers happened to be recording a video of their walk as they crossed the bridge over Lake Waikaremoana in New Zealand, which has a maximum load of 10 persons, but in this case just the four of them proved to be too many. 

One of the main cables supporting the bridge gave way, throwing the entire party wight metres down in to the water below, but thankfully they were all OK and came out of the incident without injuries.
