Oasis star Liam Gallagher made an appearance in the peculiar location of JJ Finan's pub in Charlestown, Mayo this week.

Giving the locals a bit of what seems to be new material, he certainly seems to make an impression on his fellow sessioners and the local punters.

Gallagher isn't an unknown face in the town either - his mother Peggy Sweeney is a native of Charlestown, and both brothers spent summers in Mayo as children.

Of course he couldn't leave with showing support for the Mayo4Sam campaign.
