NASA have released a new 3D animated video showing how greenhouse gases and carbon emissions travel around the globe.
The video, made from data collected by Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) satellite, launched in 2014, and complained by NASA supercomputers, shows how the emissions whirl throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
NASA’s latest attempt at visualising how greenhouse gases move will hopefully aide scientists in trying to understand how much CO2 is absorbed by the different ecosystems across the Earth.
This is the first time that findings from the OCO-2 satellite have been used to make a model like this. The satellite is also helped to predict what will happen during major storms and hurricanes across the planet.
