Motorists are being advised to be extra cautious on the roads this morning after freezing conditions overnight.
Temperatures dropped to as low as minus 3 in some areas, with ice expected to remain a factor on many routes this morning.
In Munster some of the worst affected routes are around Thurles and Ennis - while in Leinster, extreme care is needed in Longford, Portlaoise, Tullamore, Kilkenny city and Mullingar.
In Ulster, drivers should take care in particular around Cavan town and Letterkenny, while in Connacht the AA says Sligo and Roscommon routes are causing problems this morning.
