As a man generally accepted as having more wisdom than most, a conversation with the Dalai Lama is a once-in-a-lifetime situation, and interviewer Piers Morgan used this opportunity to ask questions about Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian.

To be fair to Morgan, he did also ask about the current Syrian refugee crisis - relating it back to the Dalai Lama's own life as a Tibetan exile living in China - and the ISIS situation.

But when asked if he'd ever met Trump, the Dalai Lama almost sniggered out a "never". Morgan asked for his opinion on Trump, and out came his impression of the presidential hopeful.

Morgan also asked how he feels about Kim Kardashian-West having five times as many Twitter followers, to which he replies with grace and tact ("If she has more followers, good. No problem!") before throwing just the slightest amount of shade ("Celebrities have no ability to compete with my wisdom").
