The National Police Air Service were given a hand in Surrey recently by a group of children who were well able to think on their feet.
The kids, who were taking part in an Easter egg hunt last weekend, spotted a helicopter circling above as they tried to locate two suspects from a robbery that had run into the fields to flee the police.
The children, aged between 6-12 years old, spotted where the fugitives had hidden and dropped to the ground to form a human arrow and help the pilot of the vehicle locate the suspects.
According to the Metro, two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary as a result.
Sergeant Paul Sochon said "I’m sure the last thing the group of daring Capel residents expected when they set out on Friday afternoon was to abandon their Easter egg hunt to assist us in a police search, but the initiative they demonstrated proved to be invaluable".
