While the news that Ricky Gervais was to bring back David Brent, the awkward and cringe-wringing manager from the seminal BBC sitcom The Office, for a movie spin-off was mostly met with lukewarm interest, the comedian has promised to bring him back with a bang. And now a month before Life on the Road hits cinemas, Gervais has shared an interesting music video about Brent’s losing his virginity at the age of 18.
Lady Gypsy is the first single to come off the tie-in album Gervais is set to release as David Brent, which will include songs from The Office as well as new material recorded with Brent’s fictional band, Foregone Conclusion. The 15-track album is now available for pre-order.
Life on the Road is set for release in cinemas nationwide on August 19th, and you can watch the music video for Lady Gypsy in full below.
