Sketch show 'Saturday Night Live' has again taken on the final US presidential debate.

Again, 'Donald Trump' was portrayed by actor Alec Baldwin and 'Hillary Clinton' was played by Kate McKinnon.

But Academy Award winner Tom Hanks took on the role of Fox News moderator Chris Wallace.

'Wallace' tells the audience: "Tonight is going to be a lot like the third 'Lord of the Rings' movie - you don't want to watch, but hey, you've come this far".

It opens with 'Clinton' claiming: "In the first debate I set the table, in the second debate I fired up the grill - and tonight, I feast" - as she prepares a knife and fork.

In reply, 'Trump' says: "Chris I'm going to start this debate in the quietest voice possible. In the past I've been big and loud, but tonight I'm a sweet little baby Trump".

He then goes on an outburst about abortion - with Clinton suggesting: "What two better people are there to talk about women's issues: me - a woman who has had a child and has taken birth control, and him - a man who is a child and whose face is birth control".

Jokes are also made over Mr Trump's meeting with the Mexican president, and his foreign policy.

While the piece also makes light of Mrs Clinton avoiding answering questions over his e-mails.

"I'm very happy to clarify what was in some of them...Anyway back to your question about the way Donald treats women", McKinnon said.
