Late on Sunday night, Irish man Benjamin Cleary won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film with his debut movie Stutterer.

Cleary wrote, directed and edited the Irish-English co-production, which has also nabbed the London Film's Critics' Circle award for Best Short back in January.

It was screened last night on RTE One after the Oscars, but for those who haven't caught it yet, you can watch it in its entirety on the RTE Player.

Cleary spoke to Newstalk's Orla Barry on Monday about the win and how the project came about, and you can hear what he had to say right here.
