Do not adjust your eyes - you are looking at a UFO in Wexford, more or less.

Locals were left stunned after a foreign-looking aircraft was taken through the streets of Gorey at the weekend.

A video, posted to Facebook, showed the craft being escorted by a garda car.

However, the apparent 'UFO' is an art installation for a space-themed show created by artist Ali Kemal Ali.

A spokesman told the Irish Times: "The gardaí gave (Ali) a little escort around the town to show the UFO off."

"It was all in good faith," he said.
