WDBJ 7 and the rest of the world were shocked yesterday when two of their colleagues, Alison Parker and Adam Ward were gunned down during a live broadcast and lost their lives.
Today, they continued to broadcast their Mornin show, but they took some time to remember both Alison and Adam, as well as pause in silence to reflect on the loss of their colleagues.
Anchor Kim McBroom, accompanied by weatherman Leo Hirsbrunner and guest anchor Steve Grant, held hands and shared a moment of silence with everyone watching at 6:45 am this morning.

They also took time in the show to share stories and happy memories of Alison and Adam, talking about Ward's antics during the early morning broadcasts, and how Alison's voice and presence could light up a room.
The video was posted to the TV station's Facebook page, with a message encouraging viewers to "please take a moment today to pause and reflect to remember Alison Parker and Adam Ward. Gone, but never forgotten".
