Irish Water workers installing meters in County Dublin have had to temporarily down tools over a protest.
The workers in Littlepace in west Dublin had to stop the installation on health and safety grounds while around 20 people protested in a demo organised by the Socialist Party.
Local TD Joe Higgins was among them.

This local resident says she is furious at the inconvenience.
The Irish Water workers were unhappy that they were being protested. Spokesman for the company is Padraig Slyne.
