Water restrictions in Dublin are to be extended to 12 hours per night.
The decision was taken after Dublin City Council conducted an analysis of the water levels at the Stillorgan Reservoir following three nights of water rationing.
The Council says that despite the current restrictions, water levels still remain below a normal and sustainable level and therefore the decision has been taken to extend the water restrictions. Water will now be conserved from 7pm tonight until 7am tomorrow morning.
