While Bigfoot sightings have existed for years, one man was determined to stir up the legends once again, by dressing up as the  monster mystery itself.

However, what was supposed to be a funny hoax, ended in tragedy. Randy Lee Tenley stood in the early hours of the morning in the middle of a road in Montana, US,  in order to pretend to be the infamous Sasquatch, but instead ended up being killed by oncoming traffic.

Mr. Tenley who was dressed up in camouflage in order to scare drivers, ended up achieving the opposite by appearing invisible to oncoming cars, according to US police.

He was hit by one car as he stood facing traffic and then by a second oncoming car as he lay on the road after the impact.

Police say there is possibility that the 44 year old might have been drinking but are still awaiting test results.

“You can’t make it up,” trooper Jim Schneider said. “I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him. He probably would not have been very easy to see at all.”
