Apparitions are renonwed for bringing worshippers across the globe to witness what could be a possible message from above. Howeve one image of Jesus Christ at the Belfast City cementary has got many experts stumped.

Graveyard workers made the discovery earlier this week on a tree stump which was originally cut down two years ago. They said that so far they have already spotted several people praying by the tree stump since the discovery was made.

One worker believes it won’t be long before the cemetery ‘becomes like Knock’, which is still visited by thousands of pilgrims every year.

It isn’t the first time a holy image has appeared on a tree stump in Ireland with it only being three years since the last apparition of the Virgin Mary and Child on a tree stump in a churchyar in Ratheale, Co. Limerick attracting hundreds of visitors.

Images of Jesus Christ’s face have also been spotted on the side of a cheese sandwich, on Google Earth and even Mars.

Back in 2003, 25,000 people also flocked to see an image of the Virgin Mary on a hospital window in Boston.
