Well, you thought you’ve seen it all when it comes to world records surrounding food, but one Japanese man has set new standards by managing to scoff 110 sausages in 10 minutes.
Competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi  had little trouble wolfing down piles of sausages in front of a cheering crowd at New York State Fair on Sunday.
Despite his tiny 5ft 4in frame, the 34-year-old’s huge appetite has earned him a reputation as a food competitors on the planet.
‘I extend my stomach by drinking a lot of water. Right before this contest I just drink three gallons of water in one minute,’ Kobayashi explained after his record-breaking effort.’
Kobayashi, has become an official brand ambassador for New York hot dog maker Hofman and is the current holder of four Guinness World Records for various eating accomplishments.
