A Waterford councillor has hit out at the lack of garda resources in the area following a petrol bomb attack on a house on New Year's Eve.
Assailants smashed windows with two bricks and then attempted to throw a petrol bomb in during the attack on the house on Birchwood Avenue in Waterford City.
The attack took place at around 7:40pm on New Years Eve.

At 5am the assailants returned to the house, in an act that Sinn Féin Councillor John Hearne says was designed to intimidate the family further.
