A Co. Waterford couple are celebrating after collecting their lotto winnings of over €3 million this morning. The couple said their son alerted them after hearing that the winning ticket was sold in Dungarvan Shopping Centre.

Their spending plans include donations to charity, sharing with family and a holiday somewhere nice.

It is the second big win for ticket seller Easons in Dungarvan. In April 2010 the same shop sold the second highest ever Lotto jackpot to a couple from Waterford who scooped over €16.7 million on that occasion.

The couple say they want to remain private.
