There are only hours left until Ireland decides who to send to the Swedish city of Malmo for this year’s Eurovision.
Six artists are in contention and this year’s selection has been described by some Eurovision fans as the most competitive that Ireland has put on in years.
Recent times have not exactly been the most fortunate for Ireland – our last qualification to the final was in 2018 - but Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty has hope.
“I think we might have a song that gets to the finals,” he told Newstalk reporter Matthew Joyce.
“I can’t say who that is because I’m meant to be impartial.”
SVT and the EBU are proud to reveal the theme art for Malmö 2024:

The Irish public will be able to vote for their favourites during the Eurosong special on RTÉ later this evening, with the votes combined with results from a national jury and international jury.
Ireland will be hoping to grab a few “douze pointes” from the Eurosong winner in May.
