Guns, ammunition and a suspected pipe bomb have been recovered by police in Derry. 

They were discovered following searches of two cars in the Northland Road area last night. 

Two men were arrested and taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning. 

The North's Deputy First Minister said the guns and ammo seized in Derry last night were aimed at plunging society into the past.
