After a night of significant snowfall in parts of the country, Storm Bert is expected to hit Ireland with strong winds and heavy rain expected.
Met Éireann said the storm will "dominate" the weekend, displacing the Arctic airmass that brought snow and ice over the past few days.
Localised flooding, travel disruption and fallen trees may occur as a result of the storm, and further weather warnings will be issued.

This morning, the Road Safety Authority spokesperson David Martin advised motorists in effected areas to "avoid unnecessary trips."
"If you do have to go out and use your car, first of all remove all snow and ice from your vehicle before you start off," he said.
"You don't want any snow on the roof becoming loose and dropping onto your windscreen."
Mr Martin advised road users to remove ice from windows and mirrors with a screen scraper instead of hot water.
Met Éireann said possible impacts of the snow, ice and rain could include public transport delays, animal welfare issues and poor visibility.
Outlook
The outbreaks of snow, sleet and rain are expected to clear by mid-morning, but icy stretches will linger throughout the day, Met Éireann has warned.
Temperatures may drop to lows of -4 to 1C tonight, and tomorrow will see wintry rain showers and stronger winds.
