Today will be dry in most areas, with some bright or sunny spells mainly in the north and northeast.
However, cloud will thicken from the Atlantic – possibly bringing a little patchy drizzle to parts of the west.
More persistent outbreaks of light rain and drizzle will develop on the west Munster coast this evening and early tonight.
Highest temperatures 16C to 19C generally – but a little cooler along some coasts, especially on the north coast, with just light variable breezes.
TONIGHT
Tonight will remain dry in most areas, with a few clear spells.
It will remain mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle extending gradually in across west Munster and parts of Connacht.
Minimum temperatures 6C to 10C generally – but a little colder in the north and northeast, with light variable breezes.
