Fresh to strong, north to northwest winds will decrease moderate to fresh this afternoon.

Rather cold; highest temperatures 7 to 9 degrees.

Tonight

Any lingering showers near Atlantic coasts will die out early tonight and many areas will have clear spells.

Northwest winds will continue to moderate, later backing west to southwest and slackening.

Turning colder; lowest temperatures +2 to -2 degrees, resulting in widespread sharp ground frost away from northern and western coasts.
