A spell of heavier rain will develop in the west and southwest during the late morning and early afternoon, extending gradually eastwards this afternoon and evening.

Clearer conditions, with scattered showers, will follow later into west Munster and Connacht.

Tonight will have a few clear spells, but it will be mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of showery rain in many areas, with a risk of some heavy, thundery bursts in parts of west Munster and Connacht, especially in coastal areas.

Mist and fog patches also, with mostly light winds overland.

Minimum temperatures 0 to 4 Celsius, with a risk of frost where clear spells occur.
