A well-known solicitor has been arrested over an alleged assault that left another solicitor with a suspected broken nose.
Gardaí say it happened near the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin last week.
The man in his mid-40s was arrested this morning and is being held at the Bridewell Garda Station.
It is believed the two men are former colleagues who now work at separate law firms in Dublin.
A Garda spokesperson said: “One male aged in his mid-40s has been arrested earlier this morning in relation to an alleged assault incident that occurred in Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin 7 on the 11th of February 2021.
“He has been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Bridewell Garda Station.”
