Creeslough is preparing to mark the first anniversary of the devastating explosion that shook the Donegal town.
On October 7th last, ten people - including three children - were killed in the explosion at a local petrol station.
St Michael's GAA Club Chairperson Liam McElhinney told Newstalk Breakfast the town is trying to move on.
"The community, I suppose, are still trying to get over that awful day that happened a year tomorrow," he said.
"As a community we're pulling together and we're trying to move on with life."
Mr McElhinney said the community will come together to mark the anniversary tomorrow.
"We're asking that media … gives the respect to the families that are affected.
"We're gathering there at 3pm tomorrow evening and then we're having a vigil at St Michael's Church at 7.30pm.
"I suppose there'll be a huge crowd there, but it's really for the families and for the local community.
"It's an awful time to be remembering from last year but we're going to mark it as best we can.
He added that the families are "coping as best they can, but the community has been behind them all the time".
