US President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their daughters Malia and Sasha, are preparing for their visit to Ireland on Monday.  It's expected Mr Obama will meet with Taoiseach Enda Kenny during his visit to Belfast.The Obama visit coincides with the G8 summit at Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The White House has confirmed that the First Lady will visit Trinity College, Dublin, where she will explore archives documenting the ObamasÂ’ Irish ancestry in the Old Library and view the Book of Kells. Later in the day, Mrs. Obama will meet with the staff and families of the American Embassy in Dublin and join Irish youth for a special performance by the Riverdance company at the historic Gaiety Theatre. Sabina Higgins, the wife of the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, and Fionnuala Kenny, the wife of the Taoiseach, will also attend. 

On June 18th, the First Lady will visit the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
