Cards Against Humanity - a company known for creating a popular, cheeky card game 'for terrible people' - had a very unusual sale on Black Friday. They pulled all their products from their website, and instead sold only a box of 'bulls**t' for $6 (just shy of a fiver).
The company was very clear that those who bought it would be getting nothing more than a small box of excrement. Fans of the company's games, however, rushed to buy it in the hope that the box might, perhaps, contain a new game or some other secret.
30,000 people opted to buy the bulls**t, with supplies selling out in only two hours.
Now that people have started receiving their packages, it has transpired - if ever there was any doubt - that the boxes did indeed contain nothing more than pasteurised bull excrement.
Explaining the reasoning behind their unusual 'sale' to Time, Card Against Humanity's Max Temlin said, "we all really hate Black Friday, it’s just kind of a horrible day. It comes after this day where you’re supposed to be thankful for what you have, and then it’s just this whole huge media spectacle of people fighting each other to save $50 on a TV."
It is not the first time Cards Against Humanity have held a peculiar Black Friday 'special' - last year, they actually increased the price of their game by five dollars for the day. They will be donating all profits from this year's bulls**t sale to charity Heifer International.
