Gardaí are investigating at an aggravated burglary at the home of a man aged in his 80s in Co Wicklow earlier this week.

Three masked men forced their way into his home in Shillelagh at around 9.00pm on Wednesday night.

They made off with an unknown sum of cash.

The man was taken to Naas General Hospital for treatment - his condition is unknown.

Gardaí at Baltinglass are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
